Architecture and Art in Dialogue

Architecture and art are two closely linked disciplines. They are not only determined by the respective prevailing zeitgeist, but they also shape these. Ideally, both disciplines combine to form an overall concept and image. For example, in the Sammlung Goetz: here, art not only fills the building’s interior, but the structure’s architecture serves the art, highlighting it without being subordinate to it.

In two-hour "walkshops" - more than a tour and different from a workshop -, we visit notable art venues and examine these in the context of Architecture and Art in Dialog; during the tours, guides explain both the architecture of the structures and the art they house. Each tour addresses a specific theme.
