In the exhibition (Not) A Doll’s House. Traditional Roles and Brand-New Images, photographs and Bunraku dolls from Japan are also on display in order to question European stereotypes, self-perception and the perception of others, as well as European-Japanese relations in the mirror of dolls and photographs. In conversation, Dr. Madoka Yuki and Dr. Yoko Yamaguchi will provide an insight into the diverse cultural links between Japan and Europe.
