Artist Talk with Marcel Odenbach

Marcel Odenbach's work deals with the collective memory and the cultural reappraisal of the past. His media artwork Im Schiffbruch nicht schwimmen können (2011) reflects on today’s migration crisis as a consequence of European colonialism and is part of the film program Encounters. Artistic perspectives on cinema at the Deutsches Theatermuseum.

In a conversation with Pietro Tondello (curatorial assistant of the Sammlung Goetz and co-curator of the exhibition), the artist will talk about his film and provide further insights into his work.
